Trial Databases

Database trials are available only on campus unless otherwise indicated.

China Online Journals 万方期刊在线
Provides full text journals including 6,065 Periodicals (as of Apr 2008). The database is divided by 8 categories, such as Business/Economics, Arts/Humanities, Law/Politics, social Science & etc. The current trials will limit to Arts/Humanities only. This subset includes 561 journal titles from 1997 onwards. The database can only be accessed on campus, and the trial runs through May 22. Please send any comments to Julie Wang.

Genome Research
Launched in 1995, Genome Research is an international, continuously published, peer-reviewed journal that focuses on research that provides novel insights into the genome biology of all organisms, including advances in genomic medicine.

EIU.com
Provides in-depth reports on almost 200 countries and areas of the world.  BU has access to three sections of the database.  Country Reports provide political and economic analysis for nearly 200 countries.  Each report examines and explains the issues affecting the countries in which we operate:  the political scene, economic policy, the domestic economy, sectoral trends, and foreign trade and payments.  Detailed two-year forecasts complement the analysis and pinpoint political and economic developments and trends.   Country Commerce is a practical reference guide to the specific operating conditions, commercial laws and business regulations in 55 countries. Country Profiles provide background and historical context of current economic and political events for over 200 countries.   The database must be accessed on campus. The trial runs through May 30, 2008.

Aluka is a not-for-profit international collaboration of educational and cultural institutions. Our mission is to build a high-quality scholarly resource of materials from and about Africa. JSTOR provides access to this database through June 30, 2008.
