The Libraries are intended to be places of quiet study and research; please be considerate of those studying around you. We appreciate your cooperation. Customer service areas are not considered quiet study areas.

Information Commons - The Information Commons is for quiet collaboration or individual research.

Quiet Study Areas

Patrons whose quiet study is disrupted are strongly encouraged to contact any service desk.

Bartle Library

In general, the Science Library is primarily for quiet study.

University Downtown Center

Group Study Areas

Quiet conversation in study groups is acceptable as long as it doesn’t bother other library users. Please bear in mind that group-study rooms are not soundproof. Groups of two or more have priority for use of the rooms. An individual using a group room may be asked to relinquish it for a group's use.

Bartle Library

The Science Library has a group study room on the ground floor.

University Downtown Center has four group study rooms on the main floor: 124 A-D
