Subject Librarians

The subject librarians, or subject bibliographers, provide a range of services which focus on a particular area or discipline. In this capacity, the bibliographers (1) serve as liaisons between the Libraries and one or more of the University's academic departments, programs, or schools, (2) initiate the selection and acquisition of materials for the collections, (3) provide subject-specific instruction in the use of information resources, and (4) provide general reference service and specialized research consultation.
