Datastream
Census Workstation Online and Data Services
Datastream is an in-depth database of global financial and economic information.
It covers equities, stock market and bond indices, economic series, FOREX, interest
rates, fixed income instruments, and derivatives. Use of Datastream is
restricted to Binghamton University faculty and students.
Compact D/SEC (formerly Compact Disclosure)
CD-ROM Workstation Area Bartle Reference
Compact D/SEC is a CD-ROM product which contains information on around 6000
companies. The information is obtained from annual reports and 10K reports.
Typical entries include the president's letter to stockholders, CEOs, SIC codes,
balance statements, and much more. Compact D/SEC is available on 2 workstations
in the Reference area of Bartle library, one for the current disc, and one for
older discs. To obtain older discs, (back to 1988), ask at the Reference Desk.
COMPUSTAT
COMPUSTAT contains continuously updated quarterly and annual financial data
files on over 12,000 companies. For further information, see the handout "COMPUSTAT"
in the Online and Data Services Office in the Main Library. Use of COMPUSTAT
is limited to Binghamton University faculty and students.
10K Microfiche
Reference Microfiche Cabinets
The Library has the 10Ks of around 12,000 companies on microfiche. The set is
available in the Reference microfiche area. The set, which also includes 10Qs,
covers from 1973 through 1998.

Value Line Investment Survey
HG 4501 .V26 Latest year kept behind the Reference Desk
Value Line analyzes and reports on about 1,700 companies, grouped by
industry. Designed for investors, it contains historical stock data, forecasts,
and betas, and rates stocks according to safety and timeliness.
Morningstar Mutual Funds
HG 4530 .M8 Latest year kept behind Reference Desk
Morningstar analyzes and reports on over 1000 mutual funds,
arranged by fund type. It is very similar to Value Line.
