Box (Box #2) Title: DOMESTIC BOOK ORDERS Description Orders from the 50 states and District of Columbia for various publications printed and sold by the “Atlas Printing Company:” Mac Donald's Farmer's Almanac, Secrets of Astrology Revealed, and Dr. MacDonald's Dream Book. Also included are orders for publications of other companies that were retailed by the Atlas Printing Company, most notably Solar Biology, The Sixth and Seventh Books of Moses, books on palmistry, hypnotism, mind reading, and other “occult sciences, ” as well as dictionaries and bibles. Orders cover the period from Nov. 1944 to May 1957 with some gaps. Orders are arranged alphabetically by state of origin, and are in chronological order within each folder. NOTE:If document is dated only with year, date of answer (rubber--stamped date) was used for chronology. Postmarks were used, when present, in preference to date of answer. Those documents with no year were classified as “undated, ” and are at the end of each foler. Orders for books only. Box (Box #8) Title: DIPLOMAS, DEGREES, AND CERTIFICATES (of Jeremiah MacDonald) Description Diplomas, degrees, and certificates of graduation from various educational institutions. Also included are three certificates from various county clerks certifying Jeremiah MacDonald as a doctor of medicine (M.D.).
	Inventory:
		E-1 letter from Tarrant County (Fort Worth, Texas) Clerk certifying Jeremiah MacDonald as being a doctor of medicine of record. Dated June 1899.
		E-2 Diploma awarding a “Doctor of Psychology” degree to Jeremiah MacDonald from the Chicago School of Psychology. Dated Dec. 1, 1899.
		E-3 letter from Shawnee County (Topeka, Kansas) Clerk certifying that Jeremiah MacDonald as an M.D. of record. March 26, 1901.
		E-4 Certificate from Saint Lukes Hospital of Niles, Michigan, stating that Dr. Jeremiah MacDonald was a staff doctor and“entitled to the rights and priviledges” of the position. Dated April, 1901.
		E-5 Certificate of graduation from the American College of Sciences in Philadelphia. Dated October 11, 1901.
		E-6 Membership certificate from the American Association of Physicians and Surgeons. Dated March 27, 1903.
		E-7 Certificate of graduation from the Pittsburgh (Pa.) School of Hypnotism. Dated November 2, 1903.
		E-8 “Doctoris Osteopathy” degree from the “Vetvs Academia Physio Medica.” Dated May 3, 1904.
		E-9 Membership certificate from the New York Society of Osteotheraputic Physicians (New York City). Dated Sept. 1, 1906.
		E-9a Noterized letter (from a Manhattan notary public) stating that Jeremiah MacDonald was a member of the New York Society of Osteotherapeutic Physicians. Dated Nov. 3, 1906.
Box (Box #6) Titles: MACDONALD'S MEDICINES Description Bottles and boxes from MacDonald's medicines, some still containing the original “medicine.”
	Inventory:
		M-1 one bottle of “Dr. MacDonald's Atlas Compound/ Laxative Compound/Mild Cathartic.” Bottle contains 75 tablets.
		M-2 two empty boxes from “MacDonald's Vegetable Compound Soap”
		M-3 three empty boxes of “Dr. MacDonald's Kola Compound (uncoated)” This “remedy” is for “headaches and neuralgia.”
		M-4 one box of “Dr. MacDonald's Electro-Magnetic Compound” with brown tablets still intact.
		M-5 ten boxes of “Dr. MacDonald's Alkalaska Blood and Stomach Bitters” containing a dry mixture of shredded plant material (the bitters). Instructions most interesting, (see side of box).
		M-6 six bottle caps, with cork liners, from bottles of Atlas Compound.
		M-7 three cylindrical wooden boxes. One is labelled “SAW PALMETTO COMPOUND.”

Box (Box #6) Title: MISCELLANEOUS
	Description/Inventory:
		1) Three tape recordings, one 60 minute cassette tape and two reel-to-reel tapes. Cassette is a recording of an interview with Marion Rury of Binghamton, granddaughter of Dr. Jeremiah MacDonald. Interviewer - Mrs. Susan Cardoza of Vestal, N.Y. Interview conducted on Nov. 8, 1966. Reel-to-reel tapes are apparently recordings of the same interview as on cassette, but this has not been verified.
		2) Two folders “Materials for Display” Folder 1 - 51 documents
		Folder 2 - 75 documents Folders contain testimonial letters, samples of MacDonald's business stationary, samples of mailing circulars, and interesting letters. This material is suitable for dispaly.
