Science Library

Where is the Science Library?
The Science Library is in the SL building, attached to Science II by a walkway. The main entrance is located just up the stairs from the greenhouse in Science III.

How can I contact the Science Library?
You can call the Information Services Desk at 7-2163, or visit the Science Library web page.

Where are Science Reserves?
Science Reserves are kept at the Information Services Desk in the Science Library. Click here to learn more about Reserves.

Where are rooms G12 and G14, and what can I find in them?
These two rooms are on the lower level of the Science Library. Take the stairs across from the bathrooms down to the lower level to get to them. Room G12 holds older back issues of some science journals and room G14 holds oversized books.

InfoLink, the Library Catalog, will indicate if the book you want is in one of these rooms.

Can I find maps in the Science Library?
Yes! The Science Library holds our map collection, in the Map Room on the lower level. In it, you will find atlases, geography books, and a large collection of maps, including U.S. Geological Survey topographic maps. For more information, visit the Map Room web site.

Why did I get referred to the Science Library from Bartle Library?
Many BU librarians serve as contact people for various subjects and academic programs. If a question you ask at Bartle has to do with science, engineering, nursing or psychology, you might be referred to the Science Library, where the staff can best help you answer specific science questions.
