Online New York State Gazetteer & GeoData Collection developed by University at Buffalo

NYS Gazetteer and GeoData Collection

The University at Buffalo Libraries provide a database which facilitates searching and locating 38,000 places, features, and other geographic information within New York State. You can find latitude and longitude coordinates, as well as downloadable digital raster graphics and digital maps files.

Online Maps Available

Select maps have been made available for purchase in print and available free online for the states of Alaska, Nevada and Washington. Some of the files are quite large and require some time to download, but that means they are high quality maps.
