BioMed Central Journals Accepted by ISI
BioMed Central has recently announced that four journals in the BMC-series have been accepted for tracking by The Institute for Scientific Information (ISI). The four journals are BMC Developmental Biology, BMC Immunology, BMC Neurology and BMC Structural Biology. Read more here…

As part of yesterday's maintenance release of the IEEE Xplore digital library, RSS feeds for new issues of IEEE journals are now available for all titles.Feeds are available individually from each journal's main page in IEEE Xplore.

The ACS Directory of Graduate Research is now searchable on the web. Search for publication information on individual faculty members and academic departments.
The web site also includes access to the complete 2003, 2001, and 1999 databases.
More information is also available from the ACS.

Logging in at the Libraries will get easier next semester. In order to simplify login procedures the Libraries will start using PODS accounts for authentication. All Binghamton faculty, staff and students have a PODS account. Web of Science Improvements
The following enhancements were recently made to the Web of Science platform:
1. Export, print, save and e-mail records directly from the full record and the summary results page.
2. Use the expanded display of cited references to view full titles and source data, making cited reference searching easier. You can see the full cited reference information, source and full title right on the cited reference page, when available.
3. Search and sort records by publication year.

Highest-Impact Journals, 1995-2005
in-cites, the editorial component of ISI Essential Science Indicators recently released a report showing the highest-impact journals in all Fields from 1995-2005. The report was based on the "impact factor" of the journals. Topping the list is Cell, New England Journal of Medicine and Science. Read more here...
