Libraries Will Be Closed July 1-4

The Libraries will be closed from 5:00 p.m. Friday, June 30 through 8:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 5 in observance of the July 4th holiday.

Website Downtime This Weekend

Due to a scheduled campus-wide electrical shutdown, the Libraries' website will not be available from approximately 10 p.m. on Friday, May 26 until 7 a.m. on Sunday, May 28. This includes infoLINK, metaLINK, and ILLiad. For more information on the shutdown, please see the Physical Facilities notice.

E-Reserves via Blackboard

Beginning July 10, all electronic reserve material will be available on Blackboard. Students will use their assigned Blackboard passwords given by Computing Services to access electronic journal articles and documents. (This password is different from the PODs password.) More information will be available on our website in the near future. If you have any questions, please contact Aynur DeRouen, Carol Clemente, or Jesslyn Shafer at 777-2194 for Bartle Reserves or Debbie Hulbert at 777-2166 for Science Reserves.

Use Google Scholar to Get It @ BU

Get It @ BU Did you know that Google Scholar includes links to Get It @ BU? If you are on campus, you should automatically see a text link next to most results. If you are off campus, you can choose to have Get It @ BU display by finding Binghamton University in Google Scholar preferences.

New Databases Now Available

Thanks to the SUNYConnect initiative, we now have access to the following databases, all via the Ebsco platform. In addition to following the links below, you can find all these titles listed in metaLINK.

Academic Search Premier includes full text for more than 3,600 peer-reviewed publications and indexing and abstracting for more than 8,200 journals in nearly every academic field of study.

Business Source Premier is a full text business database covering management, economics, finance, accounting, international business.

CINAHL, already available, now includes full text.

MasterFILE Premier covers a broad range of topics including general interest, business, health and multi-cultural issues.

Regional Business News provides full text for regional business publications, including those from Crain Communications.

ERIC contains annotated references to educational materials including journal articles, books, theses, curriculi, conference papers, standards and guidelines, and science education resources.

Medline contains authoritative medical information from such fields as medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, pre-clinical sciences, and more.
