4 Things You Should Know about the Libraries
The Libraries are full of books, but we also offer many other resources and services. Here is a sampling.
4 New Library Services
The following services are now available, or will be very soon.
- Laptop lending: Need a laptop while you study in the library? Laptops are now available in both Bartle and Science. Read more about laptop lending.
- Grokker: Grokker, coming soon, is a tool that displays search results topically organized in visual maps. Keep your eyes open for it on the Libraries' home page.
- Information Commons: Now open in Bartle! Read more about the Commons.
- 24 Hour Service: Bartle is open from 12 noon Sunday to 8 p.m. Friday. Library hours
4 Websites @ the Libraries
These resources are available only through the library website, not for free on the web.
- Annual Reviews: Annual Reviews saves you time by synthesizing the vast amount of primary research literature and identifying the principal contributions in your field.
- Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center: Overviews of social issues, including viewpoint articles, statistics, and primary documents.
- ProQuest: Over 2,500 journal and newspapers plus information on over 60,000 companies. A great place to start your research.
- Subject databases: Check out our specialized subject databases in metaLINK.
