New Stata handbooks
Stata users take note: The newest Stata manuals (release 9) are available for use in the Online and Data Services Office (inside the Government Documents room). This includes the Stata Base, the Stata Survey Data, Stata Longitudinal/Panel Data, Stata Time Series and the Stata Graphics Reference Manuals, among others.

EBSCO Trial in March
EBSCO is offering a free trial of their databases, including Business Source Premier, Academic Source Premier, and PsycINFO, through the month of March. To access the EBSCO databases, go to the trial databases page. EBSCO can only be accessed on campus.
Business Source Premier is a full-text database that covers not only articles, but also market research reports, SWOT analyses, company profiles, country reports, and more.
Academic Source Premier is a general academic database covering the social sciences, humanities, and sciences.
PsycINFO is useful for those business students researching organizational behaviour, consumer behavior, and related topics.

Data Source for March
The Libraries have access to literally hundreds of different statistical resources. Datastream provides historical coverage of major securities from worldwide markets, plus increasing data coverage on emerging markets and new instruments. Includes equity, index, commodity, currency, bond, economic data, and more. Data is available in daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly formats. The coverage varies, though some data series go back 30 years. The output easily transfers into Excel. Datastream is available on the Statistical Workstation in Online and Data Services. The Online and Data Services room is inside the Government Documents room in the Bartle Reference area.

Database of the Month--Emerald
Emerald is the featured database for March. Emerald publishes a wide range of management and library & information services journals, as well as a strong specialist range of engineering, applied science and technology journals.
