If you need help, don't hesitate to ask for assistance at one of our service desks or Ask a Librarian.
I Need a Computer!!
February 6, 2009
"The computer is logged out, but someone's stuff is at the desk." We hear this comment a lot! Someone "camps out" at a computer to hold it while they do other things.
Please be advised that we have a policy to deal with this problem. if you leave your computer unattended you may lose your seat, especially if others are waiting for a computer. To allow for fair and equitable access to our resources, staff are authorized to remove personal belongings from unattended workstations. Belongings that have been removed may be retrieved from the Bartle Library Reference Desk.
See the complete policy.
It's Crunch Time! Help Us Help You
November 25, 2008
At the end of the semester the Information Commons is busier than ever. To help make the IC environment conducive to productive school work, please be considerate of your fellow students and observe the following:
- Save recreational computing for another time or place. Computers are needed now for academic work.
- Keep noise to a minimum. It makes it hard to concentrate on that paper your neighbor is working on.
- Please don't bring food into the Library - covered drinks are OK. And PLEASE clean up after yourself. We all have better things to do than pick up someone else's trash, right?
Bartle Commons Expansion Nears Completion

There will soon be printing areas on the north and south side of the first floor Commons, and additional computers on the second floor mezzanine where quiet study space is available.
